Goalkeeper Chris Dunn has become the first Northampton Town player offered a new deal at the end of the season to sign his contract.
The 21-year-old, who was one of four Cobblers players to be offered a new deal, is now tied to the club until the summer of 2011.
"He is developing all the time and has the potential to be a very good goalkeeper," said boss Stuart Gray.
"Chris deserves his new contract and I am pleased he has signed the deal."
"He is always willing to learn, always keen to listen and he is often the first one on to the training ground and the last one to leave," added Gray.
"He grew in stature throughout last season and I have no doubts we have signed a very good goalkeeper for the next two years.
"This club has a proud tradition of developing our own goalkeepers, and Chris is the latest following the success of Mark Bunn. "
The other three Cobblers players considering new contracts are Jason Crowe, Mark Hughes and Giles Coke.
