Clarke has made 23 starts and 33 substitute appearances for Ipswich

Northampton Town have signed young Ipswich Town striker Billy Clarke on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old has had loan spells at Falkirk and Colchester, before spending the first half of this season at Darlington, where he scored nine goals.

"Billy is a lively, hardworking striker who is very mobile," said Cobblers manager Stuart Gray.

"He has got good pace and is decent in the air for his size. He has got good awareness," added Gray.

Clarke is a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.
