Hulbert and Clarke will join up with the Quakers ahead of the Exeter game

Darlington have completed the signing of midfielder Robin Hulbert and striker Billy Clarke ahead of Saturday's League Two season opener with Exeter City.

Hulbert, 28, arrives on a permanent deal after being released by Port Vale, for whom he made 72 appearances.

Republic of Ireland youth international Clarke, 20, joins on loan from Championship side Ipswich Town.

The club have also revealed striker Tommy Wright has joined Aberdeen on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
