Carroll netted 19 goals for Newcastle in the Championship this season
Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll has pledged himself to the club's cause next season despite interest from fellow Premier League clubs.
Carroll, 21, has been the subject of reported interest from Stoke City but the 19-goal striker is adamant he wants to stay with the Tynesiders.
"It's always been my ambition to play for Newcastle United and score goals at St James' Park," Carroll said.
"I think most people know that I don't want to leave."
Carroll added: "I have always said that if I get the opportunities to play, I will score goals and hopefully that continues.
"I have been at Newcastle since I was 10 and I'm totally committed."
Speculation at the club has increased surrounding the future of the club's playing assets, which has led to uncertainty over funding for new players for boss Chris Hughton.
Carroll was also alleged to have been involved in a training ground row with team-mate Steven Taylor which fuelled rumours that one of the pair would be sold in pre-season.
