Interview - Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds

Motherwell defender Mark Reynolds insists he remains ambitious but not bitter at his club's decision to reject a bid from Rangers last summer.

The 21-year-old will line up against Walter Smith's side at Ibrox on Saturday and says he has no regrets.

"It was great to be linked to such a massive club, but the move was rejected," Reynolds told BBC Scotland.

"I was happy to stay at Motherwell. That's the way I'll view it on Saturday and we'll be going out to try to win."

Reynolds was the subject of a £750,000 bid from Rangers that was promptly rebuffed by the Fir Park club.

"It wasn't something that I gave a lot of time to," Reynolds added.

"It all happened and finished within a period of 24 hours, so it wasn't really something that I had time to dwell on.

"You live in the present and the here and now and there's no point in dwelling on things that could've been."
