Morecambe have agreed a two-year deal with winger Adam Rundle.
The 25-year-old former Rochdale midfielder was released by Chesterfield at the end of the season.
Rundle told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I'm very excited. Last season I was in and out of the team at Rochdale so pursued other options.
"They didn't really work out but with two years at Morecambe hopefully I can settle down again and get back playing the way I used to."
Rundle began last season as a regular at Rochdale under Keith Hill but then spent a month on-loan at Rotherham before agreeing a short term deal with Chesterfield.
He said: "I was getting frustrated at times. Rochdale brought in a lot of wingers and I found rotation a lot last season.
"I had a few offers on the table that needed thinking about but as soon as Morecambe came in, they are a club who've just missed out on promotion this year, they are moving to a new ground and have an ambitious manager.
"It just goes hand-in-hand that I should sign for them."
