Centre-back Dave Artell has signed a new one-year contract with Morecambe.
The 28-year-old has played 250 league games during his career which has included spells at Mansfield, Chester, Rotherham and Shrewsbury.
Artell has made 69 league appearances since joining the Shrimps in the summer of 2007 on a free transfer.
He said: "I am happy here, it's a lovely club which is continuing to move forward and I want to be part of it again this season."
