Striker Rene Howe has returned to Peterborough after a successful season-long loan spell with Morecambe.
The 22-year-old scored 12 goals in 41 appearances for the Shrimps, his most recent effort coming in the 2-1 win at Bradford on 10 April.
The Bedford-born player was left out of the squad for Saturday's trip to Exeter City for disciplinary reasons.
Howe began his playing career with Kettering in July 2006 before moving to Peterborough a year later.
