Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has added to his squad by signing Neil Wainwright and Barry Roche on two-year deals.
Goalkeeper Roche joins from Chesterfield, while midfielder Wainwright arrives from Darlington.
"Once I had spoken to Sammy McIlroy then Morecambe were first and foremost in my mind really," Wainwright told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"Morecambe did very well last season and hearing what a nice club it is I decided it was right for me."
Roche, 26, has been almost an ever present for Chesterfield for the past two seasons but was allowed to leave on a free.
Both players have Football League experience which is what we have been looking for

The keeper, who played more than 130 games after signing from Nottingham Forest in July, 2005, said he was "delighted'' to sign for the Shrimps.
"I have a lot to thank Chesterfield for," he said. "They gave me a chance in the Football League. Their goalkeeping coach Steve Sutton was superb for me and I will always be grateful.
"We had a good season last year and really should have made the play-offs but it wasn't to be.
"Like Neil, Sammy McIlroy was a real draw for me. I have heard some good things about him and the club and I can see no reason why we can't improve on last year."
McIlroy said: "Both players have Football League experience which is what we have been looking for. I look forward to working with both players and I'm sure they will be excellent additions to our squad.''
