Mark Lillis is urging supporters to come out in force
Morecambe assistant manager Mark Lillis is confident his side can still reach the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley on 30 March.

The Shrimps go into next week's Northern Final second-leg against Grimsby trailing 1-0 after Tuesday's home tie at Christie Park.

Lillis told BBC Radio Lancashire: "This is when you know what character you've got in the team.

"It's about standing up and being counted and that's what we'll do."

The pleasing thing was the response we got from Saturday's defeat

Lillis admitted he was disappointed David Artell's goal was ruled out.

"Dave scored a goal and the linesman who's 60 yards away flags for a handball.

"But I'm a believer it equals itself out, and the pleasing thing was the response we got from Saturday's defeat and I think the fans saw that."
