Buckley praises Mariners keeper
Alan Buckley
Buckley's side will take a one-goal lead into the second leg
Grimsby boss Alan Buckley paid tribute to goalkeeper Phil Barnes after his team moved a step closer to Wembley.

The Mariners beat Morecambe 1-0 in the first leg of their Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern area final.

And Buckley said: "Morecambe are a very good side but we defended magnificently and Phil Barnes pulled off some world-class saves.

"I am looking forward to next Tuesday night and we will be doing all we can to get through."

The winners of the tie will meet Milton Keynes Dons in the final at Wembley on 30 March.
