MK Dons have confirmed the signing of former Chelsea and Watford goalkeeper Stuart Searle on a two-year contract.
Searle, 30, was released by Watford in June to allow him to seek regular first-team football.
He told the club website: "I'm very happy to be here, it's a good move. I feel like it's a move forward, I can't wait for the start of the season."
The former Basingstoke keeper is expected to make his debut in this weekend's trip to Windsor and Eton.
However, Searle is in no doubt of the challenges that lie ahead if he wants to secure a regular first-team place.

He added: "I know the situation here. Willy (Gueret) has established himself as the number one over the last two years and will start the season in the team, but it's my job to push him as hard as I can, hopefully to the benefit of us both."
Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said: "The coaching staff were very impressed with Stuart during his trial period here. He's a very level-headed player with a big presence that will be a good addition to the squad.
"Willy Gueret has been a huge part of our success in the last two years, but competition can only be good for him and Stuart's challenge is to provide that."
Searle started his career at Basingstoke before joining Chelsea in 2007, where he spent 18 months playing for the reserve team.
Ex-Blues coach Brendan Rodgers then took him to Vicarage Road in January.
