Striker McLeod has only scored one goal for Charlton
Charlton striker Izale McLeod has become Millwall's first signing of the January transfer window.
The Lions have secured the services of the 24-year-old on loan until the end of the season.
Millwall's chief scout Stuart Murdoch was at MK Dons when McLeod scored 60 goals in 122 starts for them.
McLeod's prolific scoring record led Charlton to pay 1.1m for him in August 2007, however he has only scored once for the Addicks.
"Izale needs first-team games. He's over his knee cruciate ligament injury now and this move will be beneficial for him," said Charlton manager Phil Parkinson.
"He wasn't getting in our team and we felt he needed games. He's had this injury and hasn't had a sustained spell of first-team games so we felt the move was best for both parties."
The deal runs until May 2nd but would be extended should Millwall - currently fifth in League One - reach the end-of-season play-offs.
Millwall currently have striker Tresor Kandol on loan from Leeds United, but his spell is set to end on 28 January.
Lions boss Kenny Jackett though, has said he is keen to keep the frontman, and will be speaking to the Yorkshire club about Kandol's future.
