McLeod has been one of Milton Keynes' key players since 2004 |
Managerless Milton Keynes Dons have transfer-listed star striker Izale McLeod - and say they will listen to "serious offers" for him. The England Under-21 man, 22, scored 24 league and cup goals last season but has rejected the offer of a new deal.
"Izale believes that playing in League Two is having a detrimental effect on his England career," chairman Pete Winkelman told the club's website.
"It is the club's policy not to hinder any player's opportunity to progress."
McLeod has scored 60 league and cup goals in 135 appearances since joining the Dons from Derby in the summer of 2004.
He was League Two's joint top scorer last season, when Milton Keynes rejected a 1m bid from rivals Peterborough, but he also collected three red cards during the campaign.
