Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones is to miss the start of the season with an ankle problem.
The 27-year-old picked up the injury in training last week is expected to be missing for around three weeks.
The Australian signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract in January after establishing himself as Boro's first-choice keeper.
New signing Danny Coyne and England Under-19 international Jason Steele will battle it out to replace Jones.
