Mansfield snap up striker Bradley

Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town have signed striker Jason Bradley on a one-year contract following a successful trial.

The 20-year-old has been with the Stags for the past month and played in Saturday's 2-0 victory at Newport.

Bradley said: "The month has gone very well and I am very pleased to sign. I have come here to fight for my place and I know I need to prove myself.

"I am a big, quick, strong and direct forward. I like to make it a torrid 90 minutes for opposing defenders."

Bradley began his career at Sheffield Wednesday and was loaned out to Unibond Premier side Buxton during the 2007/08 season, where he scored 18 goals in 16 appearances.

He was released by the Owls in summer 2008 and signed for League Two side Darlington.

Bradley used to watch the Stags regularly as a youngster, being close friends with former player Liam Lawrence.
