Nix was recommended to Holdsworth by Bradford boss Stuart McCall
Mansfield Town have completed the signing of former Manchester United trainee Kyle Nix on a two-year deal.
The winger, 23, who is the Stags' 11th arrival this summer, has spent the past two seasons at Bradford, after spells with Aston Villa and Sheffield United.
"We are delighted to be able to attract another League player to our club," said manager David Holdsworth.
"He is an attacking-minded midfield player who has a wonderful ability on the ball."
Nix, who has represented England at youth level, has been on trial at Field Mill for the past three days.
"Everyone here seems to share the same ambition and drive," he told the club's website.
"I am determined to get back into the Football League with Mansfield."
