Mansfield Town have signed midfielder Steven Istead on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old, who began his career at Newcastle United, was at Stags manager David Holdsworth's former club Ilkeston Town last season.
Istead told the club's website: "David was a big attraction for coming to Mansfield as I like his management style and I respect the way he works.
"I am really looking forward to starting the season and it can't come quick enough for me."
