Mansfield chairman James Derry has been fined 3,000 by the Football Association and has also received a suspended 28-day ban from football. Derry had admitted a charge of improper conduct in breach of FA rule E3.
At their recent 2-1 home defeat by Milton Keynes Dons, Derry entered the field of play at the final whistle to remonstrate with the match referee.
The 28-day ban will be imposed in whole or in part if he is found guilty of a similar offence in the next two years.
Derry, who was also severely censured and warned as to his future conduct by the FA, recently agreed a deal to buy the League Two club from managing director Keith Haslam.
