Futcher has played for four clubs in just over two years |
Mansfield boss Billy Dearden is still waiting to hear if transfer target Ben Futcher will move to Field Mill. The giant 26-year-old centre-back has a year remaining on his contract at Peterborough, but has been made available on a free transfer.
"Ben's still on holiday, and he'll make a decision when he comes back," Dearden told the Stags' website.
"I'm looking for a striker and a central defedner, but that all depends on the possible signing of Ben."
Futcher made 23 league appearances after joining Peterborough from Grimsby in August 2006.
He has also played for Oldham, Stalybridge, Doncaster, Lincoln and Boston.
Dearden is also waiting to hear back from several of his own out-of-contract players - Michael and Rory Boulding, Giles Coke, Simon Brown, Stephen Dawson and Alex John-Baptiste - on whether they will stay at Field Mill.
