Mansfield caretaker-boss Carlton Palmer says he would take the Stags job on a full-time basis if it was offered. Keith Curle was suspended by the club on Thursday with Palmer taking over for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Colchester.
Palmer said: "I am nothing to do with what is happening here right now but if Keith was no longer the manager and the chairman asked me, I would take it.
"What is happening off the field is not my problem but it'd be to everyone's benefit if it was resolved quickly."
