Queiroz is in buoyant mood ahead of the new season |
Assistant boss Carlos Queiroz expects Manchester United to storm out of the blocks when the new season starts. The reigning Premier League champions kick off their title defence against Reading at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United finished their pre-season fixtures with confident victories over Glentoran and Dunfermline on Wednesday and Queiroz said: "We are ready.
"We believe the boys are fully prepared for the Premier League. Everybody is excited by the challenge."

United sent two teams out on Wednesday evening and Wayne Rooney inspired his United XI to a 4-0 win over Dunfermline in Scotland, while Nani starred in Belfast as an alternative United line-up swept aside Glentoran 3-0.
New 17m signing Nani smashed in a 20-yard drive, then followed it up with a trademark double somersault celebration.
However, his gymnastics are unlikely to please boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who has reportedly banned such displays through fear of the winger picking up an injury in the process.
And Queiroz said: "Maybe it would be better not to celebrate like that. But it is his way to celebrate and we hope he has a lot more moments to celebrate."
Ferguson was not at either of the friendlies because his wife insisted he helped her with a house move.
