Macclesfield boss given all clear

Keith Alexander
Alexander was appointed by Town in February 2008

Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has been given the all-clear to return to work after undergoing a brain scan.

Alexander, 51, who suffered a brain aneurysm in 2003, complained of feeling unwell before the Silkmen's home defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

But after several scans and tests, he was given a clean bill of health.

"My generation goes to work, no matter what. You just get on with it, and the good news is that I am perfectly well," he told the Macclesfield Express.

He added: "My wife wasn't very happy with me but I have been given a complete all-clear.

"I don't know what it was, I just know I'm okay, my blood pressure's okay and I'm in the clear."
