Luton Town release Ryan Charles and George Beavan

Luton Town

Luton have released former youth-team pair Ryan Charles and George Beavan.

Both spent time out on loan this season with striker Charles at Kidderminster Harriers and defender Beavan at relegated Grays Athletic.

Charles, 21, arrived at Kenilworth Road in 2007 and scored four goals in 27 appearances before being loaned out to Kettering and Harriers.

Beavan, 20, joined the Hatters in the same year as Charles but played in just nine games.

He made 23 appearances in two loan spells at Grays before their relegation from the Blue Square Premier.

Commenting on the duo's departure, Luton director Antony Brown told the club website: "Both their contracts have come to an end and the club have decided not to offer them any new deals.

"Again they go with a heavy heart."
