Nelthorpe joined Luton from York in a loan deal last month
Luton will not be in trouble from the Football Conference after becoming the third team this season to field Craig Nelthorpe against Oxford United.
The winger has played against the U's for York City, Barrow and Luton Town during the last seven months.
However the second spell at Barrow was classed as an 'emergency loan' and the Conference say this means no rules have been broken under FIFA guidelines.
Nelthorpe spent six months at Oxford before being released by Chris Wilder.
