Liverpool winger Adam Hammill has signed a new three-year contract with the club and immediately joined Blackpool on a six-month loan.
The 20-year-old Academy graduate will join up with the Championship side to gain further first-team experience.
The former England Under-19 international was part of the Reds' FA Youth Cup triumph in 2006.
Last season Hammill spent time on loan at Southampton making 28 appearances in an eight-month stay on the South Coast.
Championship new boys Swansea City were also linked with the youngster after missing out on his team-mate Paul Anderson.
