Lincoln City chairman dismisses takeover rumours

Lincoln City chairman Bob Dorrian has dismissed speculation that the relegated club are about to be the subject of a takeover bid.

The departure of vice-chairman Chris Travers had led to rumours that the club may be about to change hands.

Dorrian told BBC Lincolnshire: "I am not aware of any takeover bid, I know nothing of a takeover bid, nobody has come to me with an offer.

"As far as I am concerned it's a rumour without any foundation whatsoever."

Lincoln were relegated to the Blue Square Bet Premier on the final day of the 2010/11 season after a 3-0 home defeat by Aldershot.
