Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton has said he is still interested in signing Leeds United striker Davide Somma should he be available.

At the Imps training camp, Sutton told BBC Look North: "He did particularly well for us, but he's back at Leeds for pre-season.

"We'll see how things pan out but we will still be looking at Davide or any player who can improve the side."

The 25-year-old scored eight goals in 12 appearances on loan last season.

Somma will miss the first three matches of next season after being sent off during the Imps last game of the season against Macclesfield.

Sutton has made six signings this summer including Mustapha Carayol, Albert Jarrett and Gavin McCallum in the hope of injecting more pace into the side.
