Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton says he would like to make at least one more permanent signing before August.
The Imps boss completed his fifth signing of the summer on Monday, with Canadian international winger Gavin McCallum joining the club.
Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire: "I don't really feel we have enough options at the moment.
"It's something we have addressed, but I feel we would like to address this even more."
Lincoln finished 20th in League Two last season, six points clear of the relegation zone.
"The sides that got promoted did better in the attacking third than anybody else," added Sutton.
