Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton says Cian Hughton's call-up for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s is good news for both the player and the club.
The defender has been given his first call-up for the games against Georgia and Switzerland by manager Don Givens.
Hughton, 20, joined Lincoln City on a six-month deal in the summer under former manager Peter Jackson.
Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's good for him and the club and he did very well on Saturday."
