N'Guessan is Lincoln's top scorer this season with nine goals
Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has said he feels it will be hard to keep Dany N'Guessan with the club beyond the end of the season.
Several clubs have been tracking the Frenchman, 21, who has rejected a new contract with the Imps.
Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's going to be extremely difficult to hold on to Dany.
"He's keeping his options open. If we go up we might have a chance but we'll have to finish well to keep him here."
Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws, Leeds United's assistant manager Ian Snodin and scouts from Sheffield United were among those watching N'Guessan in the Imps' 1-0 defeat by Darlington on Tuesday.
Lincoln turned down two bids from MK Dons for the Frenchman during the January transfer window.
As he is aged under 24, the Imps would be entitled to compensation if N'Guessan moves to another club in the summer.
