Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling is hoping to complete the signing of Northampton Town striker Adebayo Akinfenwa when he returns from holiday.

The 25-year-old, who had a brief spell at Orient in 2003/04, has been offered a new contract by the Cobblers.

Boss Martin Ling told Orient's website: "I've had meetings with the player that have gone very well. I hope to get a deal concluded when I'm back."

Orient are also in talks with former Colchester defender Danny Granville.
