Oakley joined Leicester from local rivals Derby County
Leicester City captain Matt Oakley believes they are back on track following back-to-back defeats by Nottingham Forest and Bristol City.
The Foxes followed those losses by beating Sheffield Wednesday 3-0, but were frustrated by the postponement of Saturday's trip to Cardiff.
Oakley told BBC Radio Leicester: "We're doing okay, but we had a little blip at Forest and against Bristol City.
"But we got back into the way we were against Sheffield Wednesday."
The Foxes sit just inside the play-off places with 34 points, two ahead of seventh-placed Sheffield United, who they host at the Walkers Stadium on Boxing Day.
"Now it's Sheffield United and we owe them one as we should've really won up there, " added Oakley.
"It would be nice to see if we can take the three points from that one and then quite quickly we're away at Doncaster."
