Leicester City defender Bruno Berner insists their promising start to the season is no more than they expected.
Nigel Pearson's side are sixth in the Championship table after beating Blackpool 2-1 on Saturday - their third home win out of three.
And the Switzerland international told BBC Radio Leicester: "We said as quick as possible we want to be in the play-off places and that's where we are.
"Two points a game is our aim and we are on the way."
Berner insists there is no danger of the Foxes getting carried away by their impressive start.
He said: "It's too early in the season not to be grounded so there is no need for the gaffer to keep us down."
Boss Pearson added: "I'm very pleased with how we've started at home. We've had three wins and we could have won the two games we have lost away from home.
"I know that we will be competitive. The standards we set are high and that won't change.
"I have a lot of belief in all my players and ultimately we want to be in the promotion shake-up - whichever way that is."
