Brown swaps Tigers for Leicester

Wayne Brown
Brown started his career at Ipswich

Leicester City have signed defender Wayne Brown from Premier League club Hull on loan.

The 31-year-old will stay with the Foxes until the end of a season with a view to a permanent move.

Manager Nigel Pearson told the club website: "Wayne played a major part in Hull's promotion to the Premier League and his experience will be invaluable.

"He is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am delighted to have him on board."

The Barking-born centre-half began his career at Ipswich Town and has also had stints at Colchester, Watford, QPR and Wimbledon.

He is expected to go straight into Pearson's squad to face Northampton away on Saturday.
