Panel set fee for Foxes signing

Leicester City

Leicester City have been ordered to pay an initial fee of 100,000 to Bury for midfielder Nicky Adams.

Adams was out of contract at Gigg Lane but because he is under 23, the Foxes had to pay the fee, set by a panel, to the League Two club.

Leicester will also have to pay a further 50,000 if they are promoted to the Championship this season.

Further performance related payments could take the overall fee for the 21-year-old to 225,000.

Adams joined Leicester in July after agreeing a three-year contract.
