Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson says the Foxes' 1-0 home defeat by Millwall was a reality check.
Gary Alexander's goal ended Leicester's unbeaten run in League One and saw the Foxes slip to sixth place.
Pearson told Radio Leicester: "I'm very disappointed. The performance we've come up with so far did not happen.
"It's important to put it in perspective, if we wanted a reality check then we've had one now, and we've got to move on to the next game."
Foxes captain Matt Oakley said: "We came up against a team who have done their homework, they frustrated us, made it ugly and restricted us to a few chances."
The game saw six yellow cards and one dismissal and Oakley said: "You could tell their game plan from those statistics."
And the midfielder expects sides to come with the same tactics: "They see us as a threat, we've got good players we know that, but unfortunately we didn't deal with what they threw at us."
Leicester travel to Leyton Orient for their next league match on Saturday.
