Leeds have signed Manchester City goalkeeper David Gonzalez on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old Colombia international joined City in 2009 but has yet to feature for the Premier League side.

Gonzalez has played in Colombia, Argentina and Turkey and will provide competition for Leeds keepers Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs.

"We feel he is a player who can push Kasper and Shane," Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the club's website.

"We're delighted Man City have let him come and delighted to have that extra competition."
