Leeds have handed Nigerian centre-back Babajide Ogunbiyi a trial at the club.
The 22-year-old had been offered a contract with Major League soccer side New York Red Bulls but has stated he wants to play in Europe.
The tall defender has trained with the Nigerian national team and was part of their 2008 Olympic team pool.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson has already signed American striker Mike Grella who rejected a move to MLS side Toronto in February to join the Elland Road club.
