Sweeney played under Wise when he was manager of Millwall |
Leeds boss Dennis Wise has completed the signing of Stoke midfielder Peter Sweeney on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The Scot, 23, was out of favour at Stoke, where he had not played for the first team since October, and recently had a loan spell at Walsall.
"The players he has signed in the last few days are all young players - myself, Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson," Sweeney told BBC Radio Leeds.
"From what I've seen I'd like to finish my career here. It's got everything."

Since the reopening of the transfer window, Leeds have signed HJK Helsinki winger Sebastian Sorsa, Birmingham midfielder Neil Kilkenny and Northampton midfielder Bradley Johnson, while also taking Leicester defender Darren Kenton on loan.
Meanwhile, winger Felipe da Costa is having a trial at Falkirk with a view to a loan move.
