McPhee wants to stay at Kidderminster Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers midfield player Chris McPhee insists that he does not want to leave Aggborough, despite being placed on the transfer list.

Top scorer McPhee, 27, was listed last week to raise funds for the cash-stapped Blue Square Bet Premier club.

But McPhee told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I'm the longest serving player here. I don't want to leave and the boys don't want me to leave.

"We're very professional here. We are a tight-knit group," he added.

"But it just goes to show that football can be a cruel game with the financial side of it, when the club have to put a player on the transfer list to generate some funds

"From my point of view nothing changes. I go over the white line with a Kidderminster shirt on and give everything.

This is a well run club, with a fine stadium and a good following, so hopefully someone will come in and take them over

"If the club get approaches, they will deal with it in their way but, as far as I am concerned, I'm here until the end of the season.

"This is the situation but it could change if the club get a takeover, but football changes just like that.

"This is a well run club, with a fine stadium and a good following, so hopefully someone will come in and take them over."

McPhee, who joined Harriers from Weymouth in February 2009, has hit 10 goals this season to lift his team to the edge of the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off zone.
