Swan decides not to pursue Kidderminster Harriers bid

Kidderminster Harriers

Chris Swan has ended his interest in buying Blue Square Bet Premier side Kidderminster Harriers.

The Stratford-based businessman made a presentation to the board for a 100 per cent buy-out of the Aggborough club on 15 December.

In a statement the board said the bid had been seriously considered, and that directors responded within 24 hours with a counter proposal.

However Swan has now decided not to pursue his interest in the club.

Harriers revealed earlier this month that they have to find £150,000 by the end of December and then a further £50,000 by the end of January to secure the club's survival.

The Blue Square Bet Premier club's board has reiterated that it remains committed to securing the long term future of the Aggborough club.
