Kidderminster Harriers sign ex-Villa defender Griffiths

Kidderminster Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers have completed the signing of former Aston Villa youth academy defender Aaron Griffiths.

The 20-year-old left-back joins on a one-year deal after being on trial at Aggborough over the summer.

"He's impressed in training and has done well in the two games he's played," said manager Steve Burr.

"I am delighted we've managed to do something with Aaron, it gives us good competition with Mike Williams - it is another piece of the jigsaw."

Griffiths came through the youth squad at Coventry before moving to Villa Park.

His first taste at first-team football was with Halesowen in the Southern League and he featured at Aggborough in the Worcestershire Senior cup final in April.

Griffiths, who lives in Kidderminster, becomes manager Steve Burr's second signing in a week following the arrival of striker Nick Wright from Tamworth.
