Kidderminster Harriers caretaker manager John Finnigan says he wants the job on a full-time basis.
Finnigan, who stood in after former boss Mark Yates left for Cheltenham, is one of over 50 applicants for the job.
But chairman Barry Norgrove told BBC Hereford and Worcester the snow has prevented the Kidderminster board meeting to discuss the candidates.
"I only got to the ground on Thursday, and one of our directors is still snowed in," he said.
Finnigan has only had two games in charge due to postponements but he told BBC Hereford and Worcester he was relishing the new role:
"I have settled in well, have enjoyed it, and have relaxed into it.
"The players have been brilliant, you are always a bit apprehensive, taking on a new job.
"But the lads have been fantastic and they have got behind me, and they all want to do well.
"We are doing the best we can until the chairman confirms who the next manager will be."
Norgrove says they hope to have a decision next week, and the Chester City manager Jim Harvey remains the favourite for the job.
Harvey is working without a contract at Chester, and has told the players to stay at home as they had not been paid for two months.
