Yates celebrates three years at Harriers in January.
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates says his players have to learn to maintain their standards after they lost at home to AFC Wimbledon.
Having beaten Oxford and Kettering in their last two games, Harriers failed to find a spark in a 1-0 reversal.
Yates told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "They have to raise their standards and keep their standards, that's what good teams do, and what good players do.
"We knew they (Wimbledon) would match us up in the middle of the park.2
Yates added: "That is not me having a go at them, but they know good teams, good players do it week in week out.
"But we were second best for ninety-nine per cent of the game, if they had taken their chances on the break they could have put the game to bed.
"We huffed and puffed second half but we lacked any guile, we were poor."
Kidderminster Harriers take on Tamworth in the Blue Square Conference on Tuesday, 1 December (1945 GMT) and there will be full commentary online at bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester
