Matt Barnes-Homer arrived at Aggborough in the summer of 2007
Kidderminster Harriers top scorer Matt Barnes-Homer has joined Luton Town on loan, prior to completing a move for a five-figure fee in January.
Luton striker Ryan Charles is heading to Aggborough for an initial month loan as part of the deal.
And former Cheltenham Town front man Damien Spencer has also arrived at Aggborough on loan from Kettering.
Harriers boss Mark Yates said, while he did not want to lose Barnes-Homer, that it was good business for the club.
"I hope the fee comes out," he said, "because we've actually exceeded the clause in his contract in terms of transfer fee.
"We don't pay the sort of wages that Luton pay and I think, if someone wants to treble your wages, it's only right that you give that player a chance."
The 20-year-old front man has developed well since arriving at Aggborough from Wycombe in the summer of 2007, having hit 37 goals in 117 appearances.
"He has gone with my blessing," said Yates. "He has been fantastic for me.
"We managed to keep him in the summer when a lot of people were anticipating he'd leave.
"The club was very good to him and looked after him contract-wise but, to do that, we had to put a clause in his contract allowing him to talk to other clubs.
"We've managed to secure two decent strikers - one as part of the deal.
"Ryan Charles has come from Luton for a month to start with.
"He is a young lad, one of the best finishers down there. He's a bundle of energy and is lively and quick.
"We've brought in Damian Spencer as well. I know him particularly well. He's a big, strong lad. He's quick and will work hard for us."
