Courtney turned down Harriers in 2006 but joined them this summer
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates has been praising defender Duane Courtney after he scored his first goal for the club on Saturday.
Courtney was on target as Harriers won 2-0 at Kettering, their first at Rockingham Road in 16 years.
Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I have seen him score goals like that in training, and I think he has been great for us this season.
"He is part of the back four that did a great job on Saturday."
He added: "I thought that was Gavin Caines' best game for us."
All my staff do a tough job, there are not many of us, we are outnumbered everywhere we go

Courtney joined Harriers from Welsh League side The New Saints during the summer but Yates says he knew he was a good player.
He said: "I tell him we picked him up off the scrap-heap, but I am only joking.
"I had him at Burnley when I was up there, and he had a hard act to follow, replacing Keith Lowe."
Yates also has high praise for his backroom staff, saying: "All my staff do a tough job, there are not many of us, we are outnumbered everywhere we go staff-wise.
"But everyone pitches in, and we can be proud of what we have done, but we have some tough games coming up."
