Ferrell picked up the knee injury last summer and had surgery on it in March.
Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Andy Ferrell is hopeful of returning to action before the end of the season after recovering from a knee injury.
The twenty-five-year old has been on the side lines for the past month after undergoing surgery on his knee and was expected to be out until next season.
But he has been doing a lot of strength work and he told BBC Hereford and Worcester everything is reacting well.
He said: "Hopefully I can come back to full fitness in the next week or so."
Ferrell has been working closely with Harriers Peter Dugmore who he says has helped him to make a swift recovery.
"He's pushed me to my limit and he's brilliant at his job, so he takes full credit for hopefully getting me back," said Ferrell.
But the midfielder accepts that it is unlikely that he will help Harriers in their bid for promotion from the Blue Square Premier.
"I can't really see myself getting back into the side because the boys have been brilliant, but I've just got to train well and if I get a chance then I have to stake my claim," he said.
