Harriers angered by fixture list

Mark Yates
Yates's Harriers are vying for a play-off place in the Blue Square Premier

Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates is angry his team might have to play five matches in 10 days.

Harriers have played fewer games than all of the teams above them in the Blue Square Premier following their runs in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy.

"It's a sad state of affairs that a professional club might have to play five games in 10 days," Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"It's absolutely ridiculous and wouldn't happen in any other league."

Yates described it as "shambolic" and said they are trying to do something about it as they aim for a play-off place.
