Yates happy with Harriers quality

Mark Yates saw his side move up to seventh place.

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates believes his Harriers team showed what they were capable of against Crawley.

Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester that it was an impressive performance.

"When we play with application and quality we can beat anybody and that's what we have to do between now and the end of the season.

"I said it was all about picking up points, and we got a performance and have beaten a good side."

Yates admitted that Crawley were a daunting side to play against.

"They play their game, they are very intimating and they have some good players, and we had to stand up to that.

There were a few performances that were as good as I've seen for a while, and it spread through the team

"We had to match their commitment and their effort and we did that.

"We have still got 39 points to play for, we are right in there, we feel we can go on a run.

"Three clean sheets in the last three games, we have done a lot of work on the training ground.

"We looked a bit nervous for 15 minutes, and I may have scared them a little bit by trying to motivate them in the build-up.

"My two strikers caused them a lot of problems for them, and there were a few performances that were as good as I've seen for a while, and it spread through the team."

Kidderminster Harriers go to Lewes in the Blue Square Conference on Saturday 14 March (1500 GMT) and there will be full commentary at bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester.
